Every year the demand for healthier sweets and snacks only grows. Figures from the newest "Maxima Retail Compass" overview reveal that 24.8% of the Latvians eat sweets every day and 42.3% eat them several times a week, at the same time the population is increasingly thinking about healthy lifestyle, thus seeking healthier alternatives to sweets.

Most People Plan on Spending up to 60 Euro on their Christmas Dinner

This Christmas, 22% of the public plans to spend between 41 to 60 Euro on their Christmas dinner, while almost a quarter plan to spend between 21 to 40 Euro, and 10% up to 20 Euro, according to survey data collected as part of the “Maxima Retail Compass”. Of those surveyed, 6% plan on spending more than 100 Euro, while 23% of people were not clear on their planned spending in the period leading to Christmas.
