Continuing its rapid expansion in Latvia, grocery and household goods online store Barbora.lv opened its second packing centre today, the 25th of September, in Riga. This will allow the business to expand its grocery deliveries in Riga and the Greater Riga region, and will further its customer service capacity.
The new Barbora.lv packing centre is located at 143 Biķernieku Street. With its 62m2 premises the newly-opened centre will serve 20% of existing Barbora.lv clients and will be ready to serve new clients, providing more convenient order packing and a significantly faster delivery time.
“The public has become increasingly appreciative of the convenience and ease found in online shopping, which is why the number of Barbora.lv clients is increasing. Since April, our number of clients has increased by more than 2.5 times. The new packing centre will significantly enhance our customer service in Riga, allowing us to put together and deliver orders more quickly. With the new packing centre, we will also expand our current delivery area which is a crucial step towards gradually expanding Barbora.lv’s operations, offering products to new areas of the city and, in the future, offering products to other regions of Latvia,” says Sanita Bērziņa, manager of Barbora.
“More and more Maxima clients are ordering groceries online. As a partner of grocery e-store Barbora.lv, we are pleased that range of products available on Barbora.lv is regularly expanded and that with greater demand the delivery service and quality is increasing, making online grocery shopping available to more and more people in Latvia,” comments Maxima Latvija Board Member Viktors Troicins.
This is the first Barbora.lv packing centre on the right-hand bank of the river Daugava and will serve customers in Mežciems, Ķengarags, Salaspils, Ulbroka and Upesciems, providing fast delivery of groceries directly to the inhabitants of these areas of Riga and the Greater Riga region.
