Online Food Sales Increased by 34%

As the shopping habits of the people of Latvia are changing, groceries are no longer purchased only at grocery stores. Online shopping is becoming more and more common and. Since e-maxima became the online store Barbora.lv, it sales have increased by more than 34% within the last three months.

At the moment, the mobile app is downloaded by 4500 users per month on average. 23% of customers have chosen to make purchases directly through the mobile app at least once. More than 8000 products are available on the Barbora.lv website and the mobile app.

The most popular food category that people buy from online is dairy products, which are purchased by every other buyer. The second most popular category is fruit and vegetables, purchased by every third buyer. The most popular products among customers are bananas, cucumbers and tomatoes. On average, people buy 20 to 30 different food products within a purchase.
